For years, our two Punta Cana resorts have implemented an extensive list of measures in security and quality to ensure the safety of our guests, including but not limited to the following key points:

1. Security gates at all property entrances control every person who enters and leaves the resorts, ensuring that we always have registration of every entrance onto the property. 

2. We have security checkpoints at each end of the beach to ensure that only people who are working or staying at the resort can enter the premises.

3. All of our properties provide private transportation through reputable, vetted companies. Our own Seasons Tours transportation company ensures you can travel with peace of mind, with professional English-speaking drivers that ensure a comfortable and safe drive from the airport to the resort.

4. We have qualified guards who make rounds throughout the entire property, 24 hours a day.

5. Excellence El Carmen and Excellence Punta Cana safety standards ensure a rigorous hiring process that includes multiple interviews so we can vet the applicant, verify their work history, and complete a criminal background check.

6. Our resorts have an exemplary length of service record. The majority of the staff at Excellence Punta Cana and Excellence El Carmen has been working with us for years.

7. We offer only premium international brands of wine and liquor at every bar and restaurant. These products are sourced exclusively from reputable liquor suppliers that fulfill our high standards for quality and safety.

8. Every single guest who checks into our properties will find that all of our minibar products are sealed for safety, including a selection of new, unopened bottles of premium liquor. In addition, all minibar products are sourced exclusively from premium international brands and reputable purveyors. In the unlikely event that any item in your in-suite bar does not meet these standards, please kindly inform management.

9. Excellence Punta Cana and Excellence El Carmen undergo regular health and safety audits carried out by travel companies that include Expedia, Hayes & Jarvis, TUI, Virgin Holidays, British Airways Holidays, and more, using leading international certification companies.

10. Through its own extensive audits, AAA has given Excellence Punta Cana and Excellence El Carmen the prestigious Four-Diamond Award, citing “a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail”.

11. We are certified by Saniconsult Global, a health and safety consultation firm partnered with ABTA, with monthly expert-led inspections designed to evaluate, control, and improve, if needed, all issues related to water management (recreational, drinkable and sanitary), hygiene, and food safety. All programs and procedures are carried out in accordance to HACCP, FTO, and Codex Alimentarius guidelines and adhering to legal requirements and international standards.

12. Excellence Punta Cana and Excellence El Carmen carry out their own additional audits every month to run a microbiological analysis on food, beverages, employee hands, surfaces, recreational areas, water quality, and air quality, with all testing carried out by reputable third-party laboratories.

13. All food and beverage employees undergo an extensive health and safety training process upon hiring, and we provide annual health and safety training and certification courses for managers and employees alike. These employees must also have an up-to-date Health Card so they can handle food and beverages, and as a preventative measure, sick employees are not allowed to work on-site until they have received a doctor’s note stating that they are well.

14. Excellence Punta Cana and Excellence El Carmen have a dedicated, manager-led on-site health and safety department who ensure that our strict standards are met every day.
